Wood Fired Pizza Family Fun Night Fundraiser
benefiting the 2017 Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade Classes
Who: Everyone is welcome- friends and family too!
What:
An evening of enjoying homemade pizza cooked in a wood oven. There is no charge to eat pizza. We only request that people attending make a free-will donation. Any donation, large or small will be gratefully accepted. We want everyone to come and enjoy the fun.
When: Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00pm
Where: The Kroll's- 7650 88th Avenue, Zeeland. MAP
Why:
To provide additional educational opportunities, classroom resources and support for our classrooms. To give our students hands-on experience and the confidence that comes with completing a job well-done.
We didn't want this to be just another fundraiser that is conceived and executed by adults. This event is a Project Based Learning unit. From the initial planning, to the staffing with students and their parents, all the way down to counting the donations and determining the net profit, this event is student-focused and led. Students will use art skills for publicity, math skills for determining profitabiilty, planning skills, language arts and many other life-skills. Our goal is to prepare our kids to use the things that they have learning to make a difference in our world.
